Frequently asked questions.
01How much does a slab cost?
It depends on the measurements, the design specification (thickness, reinforcement, mix) and the supplier. The estimator calculates area and volume; concrete shows as “Pending quote” because we don’t have a verifiable store price. The final price comes in the formal proposal after the visit.
02How much does the official quote cost?
The online estimate is free and preliminary. The official quote, with a visit from a Cruz General Contractors professional to measure and inspect, costs $25. That $25 is credited to the job total when the work is done with Cruz General Contractors. Nothing is charged on this site.
03What documents should I bring to an evaluation?
Whatever you have: photos of the site, measurements or your sketch PDF, plans if they exist, and proof of ownership or cadastral number if you have them. Don’t send sensitive documents through the site; they are handled during the visit.
04What does “uncertified sketch” mean?
It means the plan you draw in the editor is a conceptual idea with approximate measurements. It is not an architect’s or engineer’s plan, it is not sealed and it cannot be used to build or to file permits.
05When do I need an engineer or architect?
Usually for new construction, additions, structural work and certain remodels. Confirm it with a licensed professional and on the OGPe portal; every case is different.
06How do I request an estimate?
Use the estimator or message us on WhatsApp at +1 (939) 267-3580 with the type of work, the town and measurements or photos. We schedule the visit for the official quote.
07How do I check which permits I need?
Start with the Permits Center questionnaire for a preliminary route and check the official portals (OGPe, SBP, JP). The determination is made by the competent agencies or municipality.
08How do I request electricity or water?
Electricity: LUMA portal. Water: AAA Public and Private Projects. Each has its own requirements; never share your Social Security number on this site.
09How do I start in a western municipality?
Open your municipality’s sheet in the Permits Center (Aguadilla, Isabela, Moca or San Sebastián) and confirm with the municipality or OGPe who handles your case before filing.
